On Saturday, April 6, after a horsepower-filled day at the televised NHRA races at Firebird Motorsports Park, Wild Horse Pass will be transported back to the 80s with the Sound of Freedom and Rebellion through musical performances by chart-topping and top album sales rock legends of the iconic decade.

“The Wild Horse Pass Festival Grounds is an incredible venue centrally located in the heart of the Valley, and the perfect landing spot for the 80s Rock Tour!” said Paul Vanderveen, general manager of Wild Horse Pass Development Authority. “True music fans are well aware of how the decade shaped the evolution of rock music and we are excited to welcome these legends, Valley residents and old and new fans to enjoy a rockin’ night to relish in memories of the past and create new ones.”

The 80’s Rock Tour will be held from 4-9:30 p.m. at Wild Horse Pass Festival Grounds (19593 S. 48th St., Chandler, AZ 85226), located between Firebird Motorsports Park and Rawhide Western Town, and will feature Lou Gramm, the original voice of Foreigner; Steve Augeri, former lead vocalist of Journey; Fran Cosmo, former vocalist of Boston; and John Payne, former vocalist of Asia.

Lou Gramm, the original voice of Foreigner, is one of the most successful rock vocalists of the late 1970’s and the 1980’s. His unique vocals cemented Foreigner as one of Billboard’s Top 100 Artists of All Time. Gramm was the lead vocalist on all of Foreigner’s hit songs, including “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice”, “Hot Blooded”, “Head Games”, “Urgent” and “Juke Box Hero”. Lou Gramm continues to tour with his band, performing all of his classic Foreigner hits.

Steve Augeri is an American rock singer best known as the lead vocalist for the rock group Journey spanning from 1998 to 2006. Eventgoers will be able to enjoy Augeri performing Journey’s greatest hits.

Fran Cosmo exploded onto the rock scene when he took over for Brad Delp as the lead singer for the legendary group Boston in 1992. Cosmo is a classic rock legend, a ‘must see’ in live performance, and is known for his high energy and outstanding vocals that very few can still perform.

John Payne became the frontman of the supergroup Asia in 1992. Asia extensively toured the world for the next 14 years performing new classics and old favorites. With Payne fronting the band, Asia released eight stunning studio albums and several live recordings. His hits include “Heat of The Moment”, “Don’t Cry”, “Only Time Will Tell”, “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes”, “Go” and “Days Like These”.

80’s Rock Tour General Admission starts at $35. VIP tickets start at $85. VIP tickets will include exclusive entry, premium view of live performances, two alcoholic drinks (must be 21+), reserved seated section in the first 15 rows, private bar and restrooms, and more.
