When is Rawhide Western Town open?

Rawhide is only open to the public during Signature & Holiday Events.  These specific dates are listed on our website under Calendar.  Rawhide is available for Private and Semi-Private event bookings 7 days a week (excluding certain holidays).

Rawhide is located just south of Phoenix off I-10, 11 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, at 5700 West North Loop Road, Chandler, AZ 85226

 

How do I get to Rawhide Western Town & Event Center?

From the North and West – Take I-10 east to exit 162 Wild Horse Pass (formerly Maricopa Road). Turn right (west) on Wild Horse Pass Boulevard to 48th Street. Turn left (south) onto 48th Street. Turn right (west) on North Loop Road (there are signs directing you to Rawhide from here). Follow North Loop Road to the parking lot.

From the East – Take the Loop 202 to I-10 east to exit 162 Wild Horse Pass (formerly Maricopa Road). Turn right (west) on Wild Horse Pass Boulevard to 48th Street. Turn left (south) onto 48th Street. Turn right (west) on North Loop Road (there are signs directing you to Rawhide from here). Follow North Loop Road to the parking lot.

Do we need tickets for the shows & attractions?

On days when Rawhide is open to the public (Signature & Holidays) – Yes. For Attraction Rides and Shows, guests may purchase an individual attraction tickets or town pass wristband at the General Store. Please note that some attractions have weight, height and age restrictions. A listing of attractions and show descriptions plus times are available at the front gate entrance and on the website. Prices and operating schedule are subject to change without notice and all attractions are subject to temporary maintenance, safety or inclement weather shutdowns. Refunds or rain checks are not offered.

On days when Rawhide is available for Private and Semi-private events you can book the attractions a la carte for your group to enjoy!

Is the Rawhide Steakhouse restaurant family friendly?

YES on days the Steakhouse is listed as open to the public!  We offer a great family atmosphere for lunch and dinner.   Kids of all ages are welcome; however, people under 21 are not allowed at the bar.

 

What is not allowed into the park?

No outside food/beverages, knifes/weapons, camelpacks, pets, drugs/drug paraphernalia and coolers are not allowed on the premise.

 

Do restrooms have baby changing stations?

Yes. Baby Changing Stations are available in town next to the General Store, the Six Gun Theater, the Rawhide Pizza Tavern and Steakhouse.

 

Does Rawhide Western Town provide family assist restrooms?

Family assist or companion restroom facilities feature their own private entrance. They are available in town next to the General Store, the Six Gun Theater, the Rawhide Pizza Tavern and Steakhouse.

 

What should I do if I get separated from my child?

If you get separated from your child while visiting the park, alert any employee immediately. Our Safety & Security department will reunite you as quickly as possible. We encourage you to have your kids memorize your cell phone number, or visit the Town Jail to have an announcement made.

How long should I plan to stay at Rawhide Western Town?

It depends – there is so much entertainment to experience! Typically guests stay at Rawhide for around 3 hours to enjoy a delicious meal and entertainment. Many guests stay longer for concerts and festivals. And your Town Pass Wristband is good for the entire day during hours of operation, so feel free to stay from open to close!

 

My spouse and I have difficulty with walking for long periods of time. Will we enjoy the park?

The park terrain consists of compacted soil. Many activities are spread throughout town. However, we do provide numerous benches and shaded areas throughout the park.

Rawhide Western Town & Event Center, located in Chandler, Arizona, encompassing 80-acres of beautiful Sonoran desert in the Gila River Indian Community, has been Arizona’s largest and most popular 1880’s western-themed family entertainment venue for 45 years. Are wheelchairs available?

Wheelchairs are available on a first-come basis with ID. Visit the Steakhouse to check availability. Or guests are highly recommended to bring their own wheelchair as the entire park is ADA accessible.

 

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

Yes, we serve alcohol and guests are allowed to walk the premises with beverages purchased from Rawhide.

 

Do you have a dress code?

Rawhide Western Town & Event Center is a family-friendly environment and requires appropriate dress. While enjoying our rides and attractions, we request that all guests wear shirts and shorts/pants. Guests wearing clothing that may be offensive or inappropriate (including profanity or suggestive material) will be asked to change. Shirts & shoes must be worn at all times. The use of shoes with built-in skates or wheels is prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone not properly attired, and appreciate your help in keeping our town a great place for families to visit.

 

What age can my children enter the park without an adult?

Children must be accompanied by an adult while visiting Rawhide Western Town.

 

Are cameras and video cameras permitted on park and at the shows?

Yes, in all areas of the park. For filming rights, please contact our Administrative office at 480.502.5600.

 

Can I bring my pet to the park?

For the comfort and safety of all visitors, Rawhide does not allow pets in the park. The only animals allowed in these parts are assistance pets. We ask that you do not leave your pet unattended in your vehicle while you are visiting.

 

What about smoking?

Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas. For the convenience of smokers and non-smokers alike, 1 designated smoking area is located as indicated on the park map.

 

Does the park have a First Aid Station?

Yes. Should you require medical assistance, Rawhide Western Town First Aid is in the Town Jail at all times during park operating hours. Ask any employee immediately for assistance or directions.

 

What should I do if I lost something?

If you lose an item of personal property while at Rawhide Western Town & Event Center, stop by the Town Jail to complete an item description.  Please note, Rawhide Western Town & Event Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

Do you have plenty of parking available?

There are plenty of free parking spaces available at Rawhide Western Town & Event Center. Please note that a parking fee may apply for holidays and special events.

 

Do you offer Allergen Free food options?

Yes. Rawhide Western Town is committed to providing dining experiences for each of our guests, including those with food allergies. If you, or someone in your family is living with one of the eight most common food allergies, we encourage you to tell your server so that our Chef can prepare your meal specifically toward your needs.

 

Are there children’s menus in your restaurants?

Yes. Our Rawhide Steakhouse provides children’s menus with a variety of options starting as low as $5.00. Find more information, including menu options, in our Dining Steakhouse section for dates the Steakhouse is listed as open to the public.

 

Does Rawhide Western Town still have a petting zoo?

Yes on days we are open to the public. Kids of all ages can meet a variety of animals such as donkeys, miniature horse, sheep, horse, turkey, ducks, chickens and Lucy our llama. Come visit us!

 

Are there ride restrictions?

For your safety, some rides have height, size, and health restrictions. These restrictions are established by the ride manufacturers to ensure guest safety.
